New collaboration provides flexible options for customers to quickly deploy innovative construction project management software with Microsoft integrations that improve their operational efficiency
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — September 12, 2018— InEight, a developer of construction project management software, will now offer its project controls software solutions on Microsoft Azure. By embracing cloud technology from Microsoft, InEight gives its customers a way to rapidly implement technology solutions that are purpose-built for contractors, engineers and owners who participate in the capital project industry. InEight’s solutions provide analytics and deep visibility into critical functions, such as project cost management, field execution management and project administration.
“With a cloud-based approach to InEight’s project controls solutions, our customers now have access anywhere and anytime to cost and project performance data. This gives them the actionable insights they need to bring projects in on time and within budget,” said Jake Macholtz, chief executive officer of InEight. “Microsoft Azure will also provide us with a way to quickly scale our business to meet the global demand for our offerings and more easily deploy innovations to market.”
With Azure, InEight can help reduce installation time. Additionally, it provides customers with a way to more easily scale their technology environment as their projects and portfolios evolve and they expand into new regions.
“Cloud software allows companies to focus on what they do best, instead of investing in IT infrastructure to build and maintain technologies,” said Colin Masson, global industry marketing director at Microsoft Corp.“ The InEight team is already providing the construction industry with the tools to take project management to the next level and, combined with Microsoft Azure, InEight can help advance the industry even further.”
Companies across the construction and capital project industry are already seeing the advantages of cloud-based deployment of InEight’s suite of project controls solutions. For example, InEight customer, DVSANTOS (DVS), recently selected InEight’s solutions in an Azure environment to enhance collaboration among its job sites, innovatively manage project costs and continue to grow in the energy, oil, gas and water sectors in Latin America. This cloud-based approach will be implemented on DVS’ future projects, including the Central Puerto Cogeneration 330 MW Plant in Argentina and the Choloma Cortes 62 MW Power Plant in Honduras.
To further expand how its solutions are delivered to customers, InEight developed an integration between InEight’s suite of project control solutions and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, which allows customers to easily connect job site information with back office systems. This level of connectivity provides customers with deep visibility into project status and the critical information needed to forecast progress and overall performance.
The integration provides a best-of-breed solution, combining the full financial and operational management capabilities of Dynamics 365 with the specialized features of InEight solutions in areas such as cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, performance benchmarking, cross-project reporting and crew planning and management. With this approach, customers can focus on financial details within Dynamics 365 while running day-to-day, large-scale project operations through InEight’s software. Customers now have a complete view of their project data to use in making decisions that improve project performance.
