GB Energy Selects InEight Document for the Golden Beach Energy Storage Project

Sep 15, 2025

Scottsdale, AZInEight, a leading provider in construction project controls software, announced today that GB Energy has chosen InEight Document to support its work in the development of the Golden Beach Energy Storage Project. InEight Document, a comprehensive document and information control software, will allow GB Energy to give teams secure access to the latest project information, create configurable approvals and workflows to keep project tasks on track, and ensure auditable records of project actions.

Based in Victoria, Australia, GB Energy is committed to supporting the country’s shift toward renewable energy. Due to the fluctuating nature of wind and solar energy, maintaining grid stability requires supplementary energy sources, like natural gas.

The purpose of the Golden Beach Energy Storage Project is to store gas from the market at times of low demand (typically summer) and withdraw it again when demand is high (usually winter), providing deep storage and essential supply flexibility to Australia’s east coast energy market. Having this gas ready and available for when it is needed will help to support the balancing of the energy market as coal generation exits and more intermittent renewable energy enters the system, providing consumers with reliable, secure, and ongoing access to energy.

“InEight Document gives us confidence that every piece of project documentation is secure, up-to-date, and accessible across our teams,” said David Standfield, Project Director, at GB Energy. “Transparency and efficiency are key to the successful development of infrastructure projects of this scale.”

Through GB Energy’s selection of InEight Document, its team will be able to securely control all project documentation, regardless of size or file type. InEight Document also supports automated workflows, so the team can keep RFIs, approvals, and reviews on track.

“It’s a privilege to be part of GB Energy’s forward-thinking work, and we’re eager to see the positive impacts that come from the Golden Beach Energy Storage Project,” said Jake Macholtz, CEO of InEight. “Projects like this are shaping the future of energy infrastructure.”
