ENGIE Selects InEight Document and InEight Schedule for the Hazelwood Mine Rehabilitation Project

Jun 30, 2025

Scottsdale, AZInEight, a leading provider of construction project controls software, announced today that ENGIE has selected InEight Document and InEight Schedule for use in the rehabilitation of the Hazelwood Mine and Power Station.

Located in the Latrobe Valley of Victoria, Australia, the Hazelwood Mine and Power Station closed in 2017. As the owner and former operator, ENGIE will lead the rehabilitation of the site: decommissioning remaining buildings, infrastructure, and earthworks; reprofiling slopes; and creating a lake in the void left by the mine. ENGIE’s work to decommission and rehabilitate the site has the potential to provide long-term recreational, economic, and flood mitigation benefits to local communities.

“In a project as complex and meticulous as this, transparency, precision, and accountability are non-negotiable. InEight Document and InEight Schedule will empower us to manage every detail with confidence and clarity,” said John Morgan, Rehabilitation Manager at ENGIE.

InEight Document and InEight Schedule provide robust, purpose-built solutions designed to meet the demands of complex projects. Tailored to support regulatory and compliance requirements, InEight’s modules will enable ENGIE to streamline document control and project scheduling, ensuring greater transparency, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

“We’re honored to have been selected by ENGIE and look forward to the lasting positive impact this rehabilitation will bring to the community for generations to come,” said Jake Macholtz, Chief Executive Officer at InEight.
