Essentials of Project Modeling & Estimating

After taking in feedback from our participants, we have enhanced our Estimating 101 two day course with additional hands-on exercises and content to ensure we meet the requirements of today’s estimators.

  • Course includes a mixture of classroom-based presentations with at least 70 percent hands-on time and practice exercises.
  • All exercises and concepts are included in a new user’s manual that you will keep for reference after the class is over.

  • Data setup, including library data, resources and assemblies
  • Cost estimating basics
  • Basics of markup and bid pricing
  • Intro to quote management, BidWizard, and reproduction

Advanced Project Modeling & Estimating
This popular advanced two-day class will cover the latest enhanced features of InEight Estimate that help you save time and work more effectively. Even if you’ve already attended the E201 class or are a recent graduate of E101, we will help you take full advantage of InEight Estimate.

Essentials of InEight Control

This two-day course covers the essentials of tracking project progress in InEight Control, including the following:

  • Compare field resources to planned, identifying where crews can be modified to save time and money
  • See where you’re making or losing money on your project as a whole
  • Quickly call out work items where you are spending more than you planned
  • Have time to forecast where your activity costs and hours will end up prior to completion
  • Get changes documented and approved so you can get paid
  • Keep track of how much revenue you earned and billed to maximize income


Participants learn:

  • Project preparation for job tracking
  • Creation of original and current budgets
  • Collection of field data via time sheet sync or data import
  • Management of change orders
  • Analysis of job progress (planned versus earned versus actual)
